We met the Messy Mutts team on Twitter and they sent us their new elevated feeders in this stylish red color. This is a brand new product for Messy Mutts. In the past they have had similar products where the bowls embed into the mats. Those usually combine a metal bowl with a silicone base. We like it, we rate it a GOOD BUY. More details and photos below.
The Messy Mutts Elevated Feeder is a departure from previous styles. They have created an adjustable and customizable feeder system that takes about 5 seconds to set up. You remove the items from the box, select leg length, and put on the rubber feet.
Elevated Feeders are great if your dog has problems digesting food, or if you have an extra large breed that could use a little boost. As a bonus, it looks great. But the true benefit is the wide-lipped bowl holders that capture all the messy drips of water and kibble. Our dogs really like it. We even got them to eat right next to each other! Even when you use both bowls for water, the dogs like it and there is definitely less mess. While the price is a little high, we still rate the Messy Mutts Elevated Feeder a Good Buy.
You can only buy these (as of June 2016) on Amazon.ca (Canada) for about $70 https://www.amazon.ca/Messy-Mutts-Elevated-Stainless-Adjustable/dp/B01DJMJECU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1465231403&sr=8-1&keywords=messy+mutts+elevated+feeder.
