Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 2 tbsp natural peanut butter (check the label: no xylitol)
  • 1/2 cup plain unsweetened yogurt
Pantry safety check: no xylitol, grapes, raisins, onion, garlic, chocolate or macadamia nuts. Always check labels on broths and nut butters.

Method

  1. Mash the banana until smooth.
  2. Stir in the peanut butter and yogurt.
  3. For a lick mat: spread a thin layer across the mat with the spatula, pressing it into the grooves. Freeze for about 2 hours for a longer-lasting lick.
  4. For bites: spoon the mix into the Framed Treat Mold, smooth the top and freeze for at least 4 hours.
  5. Serve on the floor and supervise. Pop the mat in the dishwasher or wash it in warm soapy water afterwards.

Why it's good for them

Licking is naturally soothing for dogs, and a frozen treat stretches that calm out for longer.

Storage

Keep frozen in a sealed bag. Peanut butter is rich, so keep portions small.
