Ingredients

  • 1 cup oat flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1-2 tbsp water, if needed
Pantry safety check: no xylitol, grapes, raisins, onion, garlic, chocolate or macadamia nuts. Always check labels on broths and nut butters.

Method

  1. Heat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
  2. Mix everything into a thick, spoonable batter, adding water if it's too stiff.
  3. Press into the Heart Mold, set it on a baking sheet and bake for 18 to 20 minutes until firm.
  4. Cool completely, then pop out and break into small pieces for training.
  5. For a brain game, drop a few pieces into a Totally Pooched Stuff'n Shake Barrel or Stuff'n Wobble Ball and let your dog work them out.
