  • 1 1/4 cups flour of choice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter (check the label: no xylitol)
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1/2 tbsp baking powder
Pantry safety check: no xylitol, grapes, raisins, onion, garlic, chocolate or macadamia nuts. Always check labels on broths and nut butters.

Method

  1. Heat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Mix all the ingredients together until well combined.
  3. Scoop the dough into a Messy Mutts silicone treat maker, pressing it into each bone. Set the mold on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, until firm and lightly golden.
  5. Let them cool completely, then pop them out and serve.

Why it's good for them

Simple pantry ingredients and xylitol-free peanut butter, so your pup can join in the holiday treats safely. Baking them together is half the fun.

Storage

Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days. They make a great stocking stuffer, but keep portions small since holiday treats add up.
