Ingredients
- 1 cup plain unsweetened kefir
- 1/2 cup blueberries, fresh or thawed
- 1/2 cup water or low-sodium bone broth (no onion or garlic)
Pantry safety check: no xylitol, grapes, raisins, onion, garlic, chocolate or macadamia nuts. Always check labels on broths and nut butters.
Method
- Mash the blueberries lightly with a fork.
- Stir in the kefir and water or broth.
- Pour into the Popsicle Mold. The framed edge keeps spills in check on the way to the freezer.
- Freeze for at least 5 hours, then pop one out and serve outdoors.
Why it's good for them
Cooling and hydrating, with kefir's live cultures and a little antioxidant-rich fruit.
