Mini Broth Topper Bites

Tiny frozen bones you scatter over dinner. They add moisture to dry food, a flavour boost for picky eaters, and make cool little rewards on hot days. One batch fills both trays in the Mini Treat Maker pack.

Mini Treat Maker (2-pack)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup low-sodium bone broth (no onion or garlic), or goat's milk or plain unsweetened kefir
  • 2 tbsp plain pumpkin purée (optional, not pie filling)
Pantry safety check: no xylitol, grapes, raisins, onion, garlic, chocolate or macadamia nuts. Always check labels on broths and nut butters.

Method

  1. Set both Mini Treat Maker trays on a baking sheet so they stay flat on the way to the freezer.
  2. Whisk the broth (or goat's milk or kefir) with the pumpkin, if using, until smooth.
  3. Pour slowly over the trays and spread with a spatula to fill the little bones. Scrape across the top so each bone freezes on its own.
  4. Freeze flat for about 2 hours, until solid.
  5. Flex the silicone to pop the bones out and store them in a freezer bag. Scatter a small handful over your dog's meal, or hand them out one at a time as cool rewards.

Why it's good for them

A hydrating boost for dogs on dry food, extra interest at mealtime for picky eaters, and gentle fibre from pumpkin. Goat's milk or kefir adds probiotics.

Storage

Keep frozen in a sealed freezer bag for up to 3 months. Toppers count toward your dog's daily food, so start with a small handful.
