PB Banana Calm Bites & Spreads
A long, slow lick for thunderstorms, vet visits or when you head out the door. Spread it on a lick mat for extra-long calm, or freeze it as bites to hand out one at a time.

Serve it as: Lick mat ยท Hand-fed treat

Ingredients
- 1 ripe banana
- 2 tbsp natural peanut butter (check the label: no xylitol)
- 1/2 cup plain unsweetened yogurt
Method
- Mash the banana until smooth.
- Stir in the peanut butter and yogurt.
- For a lick mat: spread a thin layer across the mat with the spatula, pressing it into the grooves. Freeze for about 2 hours for a longer-lasting lick.
- For bites: spoon the mix into the Framed Treat Mold, smooth the top and freeze for at least 4 hours.
- Serve on the floor and supervise. Pop the mat in the dishwasher or wash it in warm soapy water afterwards.
Why it's good for them
Licking is naturally soothing for dogs, and a frozen treat stretches that calm out for longer.
Storage
Keep frozen in a sealed bag. Peanut butter is rich, so keep portions small.
Pantry recipes are occasional treats and toppers, not complete meals. Keep treats a small part of your dog's daily food, supervise frozen treats and toys, and check with your vet about allergies or health conditions. Sponsored recipes are always labelled.
